Since first posting information about the Stompin' Out Cancer benefit auction, I have already received a great amount of support. Local crafts people, photographers, artists and more have stepped forward to donate their works to the auction to raise money for the Highland County Relay for Life.
The most recent donation was a beautiful, locally-made quilt by Phyllis Whetzel. With $200 in quilting, $120 in fabric and 40 hours of work, this quilt is valued at $1,000.
Phyllis' quilt will be auctioned of Saturday, May 22 from 2-4 p.m. during the Stompin' Out Cancer performance. Other donations include photography by local photographer David Cockerham of Mirror Slap Photography, works by local artist Renee Vandevander, and a jeweled creation from Tate Swecker of Mariah Boone Jewelry. In addition to these great items, there will also be house hold items, home decor, Tupperware, a gift basket of Bath and Body Works merchandise, and more!
If you would like to donate items, please contact me at dorothy@sundancestudio.org or call me at 540.280.7975. Thanks so much for your support!
