Puttin' On The Ritz

Sundance Productions, a new branch of my company, recently entertained guests at The Homestead's Thanksgiving Celebration in Bath County, Virginia. Pictured here are myself and my dance partner, Graham, and also the Jason Canze Trio. I have entertained at The Homestead before, however this time my company was placed in the beautiful Crystal Room. What an awesome first show!

"All-American"

In October 2008, I was honored at the American Clogging Hall of Fame's World Clogging Championships. I was nominated by several different people which, I have been told, is a rare thing. Only 12 women and 12 men from around the country were accepted to this prestigious team each year. I never thought that I would be one of them.

As a member of the team, I am allowed to nominate others as well. So last summer, I put in a nomination for a hard-working, always determined dancer of my own, Emily Kimble. And guess what? She was accepted to the 2009 Junior All-American Team. Not only was I a part of this amazing group, but so was one of my students. I think I was more happy when Emily received her jacket than I was when I got my own.

Pictured at top: Sundance Express and I when I got my jacket in 2008. They were all so proud of me. I love those kids! They screamed louder than I did when my name was called!

Pictured at bottom: Emily posing with her Junior All American jacket. I was behind the camera trying not to cry. :-)

Welcome!

Hi everyone!
Thanks for visiting my blog! This blog follows my path as a professional Clogger and entertainer. It seems that my trips and my experiences are never dull. You will see all the funny behind-the-scenes things that happen as well as photos of performers in action. You will also travel along with me wherever life and my career may take me as I teach at clogging workshops, compete in the American Clogging Hall of Fame (ACHF) circuit, perform with my teams - the Little Switzerland Cloggers and Sundance Express - and who knows what else!

I hope you enjoy my blog!

Dorothy
